Rebecca has been active her whole life. As a child she participated in downhill skiing and all types of dance. As an adult, Rebecca has enjoyed weight lifting, hiking, yoga, running marathons and ½ marathons, all while being a competitive equestrian, Mounted Patrol and Search and Rescue for East Bay Regional Parks. After a debilitating hip injury and surgery in her late 40’s, her recovery inspired a career change in 2015 to help others recover and develop better biomechanics and function in their daily lives.
In one of her previous lives, Rebecca ran a successful equine massage business, and has always been interested and passionate about the biomechanics of the horse and rider. That knowledge base and experience has helped immensely with her clients of all ages and fitness goals.
Rebecca is National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer with specialties in corrective exercise, the specialized needs of seniors (50+), and TRX training. She also uses her own experiences to develop individualized programs for her clients – from weight loss, post-rehabilitation training, functional training, core/posture development, with a focus on balance, and biomechanics. For her everything is about the core!
